St. Charles Fine Art Show returns for 19th year

Once again thousands of creative and beautiful pieces of artwork will grace our downtown district when the St. Charles Fine Art Show returns to town Memorial Day weekend.

The show opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, along Riverside Drive with more than 115 artists, whose work was juried for acceptance into the show. This year's show is sponsored by STC Capital Bank, now celebrating its 11th year. The show will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 27, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 28. It will be held rain or shine.

The award-winning show features painting, sculpture, photography, glass, wood, jewelry and other media, which draws thousands of visitors to downtown St. Charles to both view and purchase the work of artists from across the entire United States. There also will be live musical entertainment throughout the show, sponsored by BMO Harris, which will be held in the BMO Harris lot.

TrioLife Music, Paul & Jay Rock Duo, Alex Murphy Jazz Duo and the Jack Macklin Jazz Quartet are scheduled to perform as well as others.

The feature tent, presented by Erin Livermore's All Things Art Studio this year, will feature multiple art activities for children and adults.

Rest your feet and ride the downtown historic trolley tour, sponsored by Gerald Kia in North Aurora, which will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Docents will narrate the free 30-minute tour, highlighting many historic homes and building along the way.
