Former Disney U trainer to speak in Naperville

The former head of training at Disney University will be the keynote speaker for Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce's third annual Speaker Series.

Doug Lipp, an international consultant and eight-time author, as well as the former training leader at Disney's legendary university, will make his presentation during the event from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Community Christian Church-Yellow Box, 1635 Emerson Lane, Naperville.

Lipp is on a crusade to help organizations strengthen their corporate culture, boost performance, amplify employee morale, and have fun while doing it. Trailblazing new territory at age 29, Lipp was fast-tracked into management at Disney and instrumental at propelling its iconic culture forward.

"As we host our third speaker series, we continue our focus on quality presentations for our members and the community," chamber President Nicki Anderson said.

"We're really looking forward to Mr. Lipp's presentation. With his extensive background, we're certain that he'll provide our members with the information they need to take their business to the next level."

Disney has stood the test of time as the ultimate icon of applied imagination. How did Walt Disney create "The Happiest Place on Earth?" During this animated and high energy program, Lipp will explain how Disney continues to capture and inspire the hearts and minds of thousands of employees around the globe through an unwavering devotion to the core values established by Walt himself.

After the presentation, Lipp will sign copies of his books from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and then lead a workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in which VIPs can take a deeper look at the makeup of their own company culture.
