Show Your Pride On The North Side At North Shore Pride Fest

HIGHWOOD, IL (JUNE 3, 2017) - Celebrate Highwood is proud to partner once again with Van Gogh Vodka for its 5th Annual North Shore Pride Fest on Saturday, June 3rd in Downtown Highwood to kick off Pride Month. Formerly known as the Taste the Rainbow Pub Crawl, Celebrate Highwood is 'showing its pride on the north side' and expanding festivities to include a full day of family-friendly activities with a Pride Family Picnic and Pub Crawl to show its support of the LGBTQ community.

Conveniently located within walking distance of the Highwood Metra Train station, North Shore Pride Fest welcomes people of all ages from around the Chicagoland area for a full day of fun. Events kick off Saturday, June 3rd with a Pride Family Picnic in the Park at Everts Park (130 Highwood Avenue) from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., followed by a Taste the Rainbow Pub Crawl throughout Downtown Highwood restaurants and bars from 5 p.m. - 1 a.m.:

5 p.m. - Drag Show at Ginger's of Highwood, ¬254 Green Bay Road - Red Honey Pomegranate

6 p.m. - The Humble Pub, 336 Green Bay Road - Orange Mango Tropical Screwdriver

6:45 p.m. - The Toadstool Pub, 327 Waukegan Avenue - Yellow Citrus Fizz

7:30 p.m. - El Buren, 331 Waukegan Avenue - Green Mojito

8:15 p.m. - Teddy O'Brian's, 432 Sheridan Road - Blue Skies a La Ella

9 p.m. to close - The Wooden Nickel, 444 Lake View Avenue - Purple Açaí-Blueberry Lemonade and 'End of the Rainbow' celebration with DJ Versage.

Each bar is serving different Van Gogh Vodka mixed drinks inspired by a different color of the rainbow to celebrate diversity: Red Honey Pomegranate at Ginger's of Highwood along with a Drag Show, Orange Mango Tropical Screwdriver at The Humble Pub, Yellow Citrus Fizz at The Toadstool Pub, Green Mojito at El Buren, Blue Skies a La Ella at Teddy O'Brian's, and Purple Açaí-Blueberry Lemonade at The Wooden Nickel and an "End of the Rainbow" celebration with DJ Versage until 1 a.m.
