Join local Lions Club, now in its 80th year of serving the community

The Geneva/St. Charles Lions Club has been in the business of serving residents for 80 years, since its foundation in 1937.

One primary service focus includes providing financial support to those in need within Geneva and St. Charles for eye exams and eye glasses.

Another major effort for the club is the collection and recycling of used prescription glasses.

The Lions have established more than 20 collection points in Geneva and St. Charles - the Geneva and St. Charles public libraries being the two largest.

Annually, they collect and recycle approximately 10,000 donated glasses.

In addition, since the year 2000, the club has donated more than $1,000,000 to local agencies such as Lazarus House, TriCity Health Clinic, and The Salvation Army and Carroll Tower, as well as awarded numerous scholarships to students from both Geneva and St. Charles.

If you would like to consider membership in the oldest civic organization in Geneva and St. Charles, call Maryellen Theilemann at (630) 845-7966.
