Geneva Lions honored with awards at district convention

William Tomasek of St. Charles and Howie Pribble of Batavia, members of the Geneva Lions Club, were recently recognized at the recent District 1-J annual convention in Itasca.

Lion Tomasek was honored with the Jim and Joyce Davis Lifetime Achievement Award with 54 years of service.

Lion Pribble was awarded the George Lazansky Distinguished Service Award. The George Lazansky award is given to district Lions for their outstanding contributions to Lionism at any of a variety of levels in the Lions organization.

The Geneva Lions Club works within the communities of Geneva and St. Charles to raise money primarily for the benefit of persons with sight or hearing disabilities.

A large percentage of funds is also donated to local community organizations.
