Teens invited to learn wilderness survival skills

Do you have what it takes to "tough it" in the wilderness?

Join the "Survival Skills" nature program from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 2, to find out.

During this nature program just for teens, naturalists with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County will talk about how to potentially utilize local plants, fungi and animals for survival.

The naturalists will lead discussions during this interactive, hands-on program and hike.

This program takes place at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.

Registration is free, but advance registration is required. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
