Illinois State Police are asking for help after a 23-year-old Bolingbrook woman went missing Sunday.

Stacy Ann Peterson was last heard from at 10 a.m. Sunday when she called a friend and made plans to meet him. When she didn't show up, the friend called her family asking about her whereabouts, police said.

Her family reported her missing early Monday morning, police said.

She was last seen in Bolingbrook wearing a red jogging suit. Peterson is 5-foot-2 with brown hair and eyes and weighs 100 pounds, police said.

Peterson has a tattoo of a blue and yellow carnation on the small of her back and a scar across her stomach, police said.

Police also said she frequents Joliet Junior College.

Anyone with information of her whereabouts are asked to call Illinois State Police District 5 at (815) 726-6377.
