Buffalo Grove
• Two cars were broken into between 7 and 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at a fitness center, 601 Deerfield Parkway. The passenger-side window was broken and a purse, which was sitting on the passenger seat and contained makeup and $50, was stolen from one car. The passenger-side window was broken from the other and missing were two purses left on the passenger-side floor containing credit cards, gift cards, checks, driver's license, house keys and cash, for a loss of approximately $600.
• Between 4:20 and 8:55 p.m. on Nov. 19, a home was ransacked of jewelry and cash in the 2100 block of Silver Linden Lane. Entry was gained through the rear French doors, which had been forced open.
• Vandals used a marker to deface the new carpet in the foyer area of a building in the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive on Nov. 17-18. The complainant also found two burn marks on the stairwell wall. • Joshua James Moritz, 26, of the 500 block of Claire Lane, Prospect Heights, was arrested and charged with DUI and several traffic violations after being stopped on Dundee Road at Betty Drive.
• Francisco Baitosta-Perez, 22, of the 1600 block of Chippewa Trail, Wheeling, was arrested at Weiland Road north of Lake-Cook Road and charged with no valid driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
• Dzmitry Dalnikouski, 26, of the 2700 block of North Kolmar, Chicago, was arrested about 8 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Dominick's, 770 South Buffalo Grove Road, and charged with retail theft after the manager said he detained a male subject he saw running from the store with merchandise that he did not pay for.
• Blanca Perla Estrada, 17, of the 500 block of Wetumka Court, Wheeling, was arrested on southbound Buffalo Grove Road north of Dundee Road and charged with no valid driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
• Burglars entered two unlocked vehicles and took a navigation system from both and $6000 in cash from the center console of one between 5 and 10 a.m. on Nov. 16 in the 1400 block of Winston Drive.
• Burglars used a rock to smash the front door to Inter Deli at 750 South Buffalo Grove Road between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 7:50 a.m. Nov. 13 and took cash from the register.
Occurred between 11/10 and 11/13 • Vandals punctured two tires on a contractor's trailer and made two padlocks inoperable by putting crazy glue into the key slots Nov. 10-13 by an apartment complex clubhouse in the 900 block of Hidden Lake Drive.
• Tulio Guzman-Zepeda, 24, of the 1900 Block of Green Lane, Palatine, was arrested on Carriageway Drive and charged with no valid driver's license, leaving the scene of an accident, uninsured motorist and other traffic violations.
• Gina Marie Gerhardt, 48, of the 1000 block of Partridge Lane, Lake Zurich, was arrested on the 1100 block of North McHenry Road and charged with criminal damage to property.
Des Plaines
• John F. Spence Jr., 20, of the 100 block of Sixth St., Wilmette, was arrested around 1:25 a.m. Nov. 7 at 446 Columbia Ave., and charged with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by a minor after he phoned in a fake burglary to 911 to distract officers from an underage drinking party at 446 Columbia Ave. Arrested and charged with minor consumption of alcohol at the 446 Columbia address were: Patrick F. Mack, 19, of the 200 block of South Lancaster, Mount Prospect, (also charged with resisting a peace officer after he tried to run away); Amanda M. Diello, 18, of the 2100 block of Elmira, Des Plaines; Adriana Cesario, 19, of the 600 block of Regency Drive, Des Plaines; Jasmin A. Garcia, 18, of the 1600 block of Stockton Avenue, Des Plaines; Jessica Miserendino, 18, of the 4200 block of North Monitor, Chicago; Gina Trocha, 18, of the 6100 block of West Cornelia, Chicago; Ryan Scha, 20, of the 6600 block of Holly, Des Plaines; Keenan Joyce, 20, of the 1100 block of Parkwood Avenue, Park Ridge; Fernando Cruz, 18, of the 2100 block of Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates; David M. Palma, 18, of the 1800 block of Redwood Avenue, Hanover Park; Kathryn T. Lambert, 18, of the 300 block of Red Oak Road, Northbrook; Theresa M. Hojnacki, 19, of the 1300 block of Western Avenue, Northbrook; and Christopher H. Spunar, 20, of the 500 block of South Crescent, Park Ridge.
Elk Grove Village
•Burglars broke the driver's-side window on a 2005 Acura TL and took a Beltronics radar detector between Nov. 1-11 in the 900 block of Ridge Square. Loss was estimated at $430.
• Burglars took a Garmin GPS unit from an unlocked 2003 Ford Escape in the 1100 block of Devon Avenue Nov. 13-14. Loss was estimated at $320. In the same block in the same time period, burglars took a Garmin GPS system, coat and sunglasses from an unlocked 2002 Infinity I35 for a loss of $450.
• In the 1000 block of East Higgins Road, offenders broke out the rear passenger window of a 2005 GMC Envoy for a loss of $250 and broke out the rear passenger window to a 2006 Jeep Liberty and took a bag containing jewelry from a purse for a loss of $950 the evening of Nov. 14.
• Vandals damaged all the door locks of a building in the 2200 block of Devon Avenue Nov. 14-16 by putting glue in them so people could not enter the building, doing $1,000 damage.
• Vandals slashed both tires on the driver's side of a 2009 Hyundai Sonata overnight Nov. 15 in the 1500 block of Columbia Court, doing $400 damage.
• Vandals punched out the passenger door lock to a 2001 Chevrolet Express work van Nov. 13-16 at Stone Shop Inc., 2435 block of Brickvale Drive, forced open a metal cage door and took work tools for a loss of $7,250.
• Burglars pried open the rear door to the company Dima Industries Inc., 55 Joey Drive, Nov. 14-16, and took a computer, keyboard and monitor from the front office and a computer from the tool area for a loss of $2,200.
•Thieves damaged the fence on the west side of Zenex Corp., 850 Elmhurst Road, Nov. 13-16 and took a 21/2-inch brass water fitting pipe from the south side of the property for a loss of $400.
• Thieves entered Gullo International, 2195 Arthur Ave., Nov. 14-16 through an unsecured door and took wire, copper and brass valves worth $2,150.
• Burglars pried open a back door to a home in the 1400 block of Volkamer Trail Nov. 17 and ransacked the master bedroom, taking jewelry and a Coach purse valued at $3,200.
• Burglars broke out the window of a 1999 Porsche Carrera in a lot in the 600 block of Fargo Nov. 13-15 and took a special steering wheel, all four tires and rims. The car is used for racing and was in the lot for modifications. The loss was $6,600.
• Burglars damaged the wood frame around the back door and entered a home on Cosman Road Nov. 18, taking money and a laptop for a loss of $1,268.
• Thieves took scrap metal and railroad anchors and switch stands and gauge rods from the train yard of Chicago Terminal Railroad, 2511 Pratt Blvd., Nov. 8 for a loss of $6,800.
• Burglars pried off the lock on the patio door and entered a home in the 100 block of Shadywood Lane Nov. 12, taking a 46-inch television, DVD player, computer and printer/scanner for a loss of $4,950.
Rolling Meadows
• Ashley M. Arman, 19, of the 400 block of Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was arrested about 1 a.m. Nov. 16 at an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Arbor Drive and charged with criminal damage to property and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. A security agent for the complex said several subjects ran off but he detained two for fresh graffiti and Arman also was drinking from a can of beer. Arman denied writing the graffiti, but officers located markers matching the marks written on the wall, as well as matching marker on Arman's hands, reports said. Her next court date is Dec. 1.
• Thieves took a black, leather purse and its contents from a shopping cart at Walmart, 1460 Golf Road, between 3 and 5 p.m. Nov. 15.
