I read with interest today's concern by the Illinois chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics that the Illinois Department of Health and/or the state of Illinois is not appropriately distributing the H1N1 flu vaccine.

It appears to me to be a great example of how inefficient a national health plan administered by a state or federal authority will work for us. They have no idea who needs the vaccine, how to distribute it or how much of it to make. Nor do they have the willingness or foresight to increase or control its production.

Doesn't work now and it won't work in the future. It will be very interesting times in which to live should the so-called leaders in Washington be able to vote another trillion in debt that we have to pay for and not receive either the products or services we will need.

"I am here from the government and I am here to help you!" Scary words indeed.
