The Palatine Jaycees will hold a contest to determine who makes the best pizza in the Palatine area. The contest takes place at 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at Durty Nellie's Bar and Grill, 120 N. Smith Street in Palatine.

For a $5 donation, participants can judge the pizzas themselves.

Proceeds benefit the Youth Center at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, a substance abuse facility for adolescents, which opened in 2004. For information on the program, go to nch.org/youthcenter.
