• Deshun T. Blanks, 19, of the 100 block of North Gifford Street, Elgin, was arrested and charged Thursday with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm without a firearm owners card - all felonies. Police said that on Thursday afternoon, he had a .38-caliber gun while inside a restaurant in the 500 block of North McLean Boulevard at 2:38 p.m. - police found Blanks nearby and recovered the gun. Bond was set at 10 percent of $60,000 and Blanks is due in court Dec. 1 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• Tony A. Johnson, 53, of the 0-99 block of Lovell Street, Elgin, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:34 p.m. Sunday after a traffic stop at Villa and Lake streets, reports said. A passenger, Shane M. Randels, 39. of the 17N00-99 block of Harmony Road, Hampshire, was also charged with cannabis possession, reports said.
• Lluri Coria-Albarran, 24, of the 3000 block of Wakefield Drive, Carpentersville, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 7:33 a.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop at South Grove Avenue and Chicago Street, reports said.
• Isamal Argomaniz, 19, of the 900 block of Carriage Way, Elgin, was arrested and charged with cannabis possession and improper license plate display at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop at Center and Ann streets, reports said. Argomaniz is due in court on Dec. 18.
• Mohammed K. Siddiqi, 20, of the 34000 block of North Old Walnut Circle, Gurnee, was arrested and charged with improper use of a driver's license at 11:08 p.m. Thursday at the Grand Victoria Casino, reports said. Siddiqi is accused of using someone else's ID to get into the casino and is due in court on Dec. 18, reports said.
Crystal Lake
• A 26-year-old woman was robbed of her purse Thursday afternoon in a local parking lot when a man grabbed her purse and demanded money. Police said the robbery occurred at 9 p.m. in the Ellsworth commuter parking lot at Beardsley and Ellsworth streets. Police said the woman gave the man her cell phone and wallet and he ran away, heading north through the parking lot. The man is described as white or Latino no taller than six feet, wearing a black or blue hooded sweatshirt and a black or blue knit cap pulled down to just above the eyes. The woman said the suspect didn't have a beard but that he might have a mustache. •An undercover police sting run Thursday to see whether 19 local businesses were complying with local alcohol sales laws turned up one business that was breaking the law, police said. Aaron N. Sunderlage, 29, of the 1100 block of Stratford Lane, Algonquin, was charged with sale of alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor; he worked at Georgio's Pizza and Pub, 75 E. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake.
