Kindergarten children at Arnett C. Lines School in Barrington got an interesting lesson in nutrition and the part it plays in maintaining healthy bones, Friday, from Dr. James R. Seeds, an orthopedic surgeon with the Midwest Bone and Joint Institute.

Seeds showed children the importance of building healthy bones, the various bones in the body. He put a cast on his wife, Blake, and then cut it off with a cast saw, so show them it doesn't hurt and there's nothing to be afraid of.

On Monday, Seeds will repeat the class at St. Mark's Day School in Barrington Hills.
