The 11th Dundee Township Visitor's Center pumpkin contest was held Saturday, Oct. 31. This was also the final day of the weekly farmer's market on the grounds of "The Depot" in historic downtown East Dundee. The competition was again lots of fun and very exciting for this year's 20 entries. Ten judges had the difficult task of placing the final winning order from the 15 pumpkins entered

A simple thank you hardly seems adequate to the many participating area businesses, who through their generous donations, provided prizes to all the winners. As contest coordinator, I encourage area residents to support the dedicated sponsors. Truly, their success makes the contest's success possible. A special acknowledgment to this year's participating market vendors and customers along with the market coordinator. Thanks for another good year.
