The Wheaton Police Department is looking for a man observed near the Avalon Lakeside Apartment complex allegedly videotaping or photographing children near Briar Glen School.

Two 11-year-old girls walking home from school saw the adult male seated inside of a vehicle and holding a camcorder at about 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 12, according to a Wheaton Police press release.

The girls reported the incident to their parents upon arriving home, who contacted police.

Police officials said children were not approached by the unidentified man, the new release states.

Police searched the area immediately after receiving the call but were unable to locate the vehicle.

The vehicle was described as a black passenger car, possibly a black Lincoln town car.

Anyone with information should call Detective Division Commander James Volpe at 630-260-2056.
