ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Lime Energy announced the recent completion of an energy efficiency project for Perillo BMW, 1035 N. Clark St., Chicago. The project involved new energy-efficiency lighting in the showroom and service areas at this five-level location. The lighting upgrade included installing new fixtures in the showroom areas, the multi-floor parking areas, repair and service bays. Overall savings are expected to exceed 150,000 kilowatt-hours per year, which is equivalent to avoiding 95 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, or taking 18 cars off the road, the company said. The upgrades are expected to pay for themselves in slightly over 21/2 years.
