LONG GROVE - Dance teacher and author Kathleen Flanagan, an associate professor of the Theatre and Dance at St. Mary's University in Winona, Minn., will hold a book signing at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Paddy's on the Square, 228 Robert Parker Coffin Road, Long Grove.

Flanagan will talk about her book, "Steps in Time: the History of Irish Dance in Chicago."

In the detailed history of Chicago's Irish dance, Flanagan gives an account beginning with its appearance at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893 to the emergence of world renowned Chicago performers/choreographers Michael Flatley and Mark Howard.
