Four men - three from Bolingbrook - and one juvenile are accused of trying to steal three Wii video game systems from a Romeoville Target store, police officials said.
Jamaal Saboor, of 480 Mallview Lane in Bolingbrook; Demarius D. Styles, 18, of the 400 block of Mallview Lane in Bolingbrook; DeAngelo Smith, 17, of the 100 block of Somerset Lane in Bolingbrook; and Jerry E. Williams, 21, of the 1300 block of Lancaster Lane in Woodridge, were charged with one count of retail theft, officials said.
The 15-year-old was arrested and booked into the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center. His official charge was not released.
Officials said the five walked into Target on the 300 block of South Weber Road at about 6 p.m. Sunday, grabbed a shopping cart, went to the electronics aisle and grabbed three Nintendo Wii systems.
Security personnel noticed the five heading out the door without paying for the $200 systems and called police. They also chased the thieves into the parking lot where the robbers split up, officials said.
Officials said three of the suspects were found by Romeoville police walking away from the store on a nearby road, while the two remaining suspects were found at a neighboring department store.
The Wiis were also recovered by police, officials said.
