I wish to publicly thank Representative Melissa Bean for casting her vote to pass the Affordable Health Care for America Act, H.R. 3962. I applaud her for resisting tremendous pressure from the insurance industry lobbyists and for standing up for her constituents.

Those who did not vote for the bill have one last opportunity to reconsider and support reform in the upcoming final House vote - and they should do so.

This bill will provide secure and stable coverage for Americans with insurance and also for those who do not have insurance.
