Two motorists were injured Wednesday when the cars they were driving collided at Warrenville and Ferry roads in Warrenville.
Police cited Basabdutta Mishra, 36, of Aurora, for disobeying a traffic signal. Mishra was driving eastbound on Ferry Road and attempting a left turn onto Warrenville Road when she was struck by a car driven south on Warrenville Road by 46-year-old David J. Ehrhart of Warrenville, police said.
The crash occurred at 12:45 p.m. Both drivers were taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield with injuries that were not life threatening, police said. Both have since been released, hospital officials said.
Police were able to keep the intersection open as they investigated the crash. There was no need to reroute traffic, they said.
