Blue Ribbon celebrations at Windsor, Woodlawn

Two Northwest suburban schools have planned celebrations in honor of receiving Blue Ribbon Awards of Excellence and want to invite former staff members.

Windsor Elementary in Arlington Heights celebrates on Nov. 20. Tours of the building will begin at 1 p.m., and an assembly will start at 2:30 p.m. Guests are asked to RSVP to Fran or Judi at 847-398-4297.

Woodlawn Middle School in Long Grove will hold an assembly at 9 a.m. Dec. 11. Call (847) 353-8500.

Other winners of Blue Ribbon winners from the U.S. Department of Education are St. Raymond Catholic School in Mount Prospect and Ira Rupley Elementary School in Elk Grove Township Elementary District 59.
