The fourth man allegedly involved in a kidnapping in Chicago was arrested by DuPage County Sheriff Deputies in Bloomingdale early this morning, officials said.
Chicago police officials said the kidnapping involved a man in his 30s and occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday on the 3700 block of South Union Avenue in Chicago.
Four people were involved in the incident, but three had been arrested and detained by police in the 2100 block of South Ruble St. less than an hour after the kidnapping. The fourth suspect fled the scene in a black pick-up, police said.
He was originally chased by police and FBI agents, but eluded capture until the black pick-up truck was apprehended at about 2 a.m. Friday by DuPage County Sheriff's police in Bloomingdale.
DuPage County Sheriff's officers spotted the vehicle west bound on Lake Street and Glen Ellyn streets in Bloomingdale. Deputies pursued the truck into the Spring Brook shopping center in Bloomingdale where the driver was taken into custody with help from FBI officials, police officials said.
There were no reports of any injuries and the man surrendered to DuPage officers without incident, officials said.
