George Konjuch, 56, of Des Plaines, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count each of bribing a bank official, bank fraud and tax fraud in U.S. District Court. He was set to stand trial next week.

Now, he's scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 13, said U.S. attorney spokesman Randall Samborn.

In 2007, the U.S. attorney's office charged Konjuch with steering millions of dollars in work to Wood Dale-based Navarrete Industries Inc., doing business as Integrated Security Solutions and INS, while heading security for then-named LaSalle Bank. Konjuch received in return about $400,000 in cash, two safes, a home security system installed, home landscaping, travel expenses to Las Vegas and Puerto Rico and other things, authorities claimed.
