Northern Illinois University says it hasn't found any evidence that former Gov. Rod Blagojevich or his allies tried to influence the school's admissions process.

University officials say they scoured electronic records and physical files looking for links to Blagojevich or his associates, including fundraisers Christopher Kelly and Antoin "Tony" Rezko.

The U.S. attorney's office subpoenaed documents from the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University and Northern Illinois University in June. Federal prosecutors are looking for evidence that Blagojevich tried to influence student admissions.

The subpoena followed published reports the University of Illinois gave preference to politically connected applicants.
