Rolling Meadows wins MSL East title

Rolling Meadows won its first girls gymnastics division title since 1994. The Mustangs became Mid-Suburban East regular-season champions when they scored 144.10 to beat Prospect, which scored a 141.05 and Elk Grove (114.10) Wednesday night.

Caitlin Widawski led the Mustangs by wining the all-around with a 36.10. Nicole Kane was second in the all-around with a 35.75 and won the bars (9.70) and the floor (9.25). Melina Moreno tied Prospect's Olivia Tader on the vault with a 9.15. Moreno also tied Prospect's Kaiya Koyanagi on the beam with a 9.30.
