At a glance:

With Kopech making his first major-league start, a much bigger crowd is expected for the series opener. Kopech was 7-7 with a 3.70 ERA in 24 starts for Class AAA Charlotte this season, and he led all minor-league pitchers with 170 strikeouts. Showing much improved command, Kopech didn't issue a walk over his final 23 innings with Charlotte. The White Sox and Twins played a makeup game in Minnesota Monday night. Rodon is 3-0 with a 1.41 ERA over his last 6 starts.
