Bulls sign former Arizona guard to two-way contract

The Bulls signed 6-5 guard Rawle Alkins to a two-way contract Wednesday. He spent the past two years at Arizona, averaging 13.1 points and 4.8 rebounds last season. As a freshman at Arizona, he was a teammate of Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen. Alkins averaged 9 points for Toronto's summer league squad earlier this month.

Two-way contracts are for players who will split time between the NBA team and its G-League affiliate, so Alkins will spend most of his time with the Windy City Bulls in Hoffman Estates. Alkins essentially replaces Antonio Blakeney, who was promoted to the NBA roster after being named G-League rookie of the year last season.
