Girls soccer: Crystal Lake South wins 2A regional crown
Down 1-0 at halftime, the Crystal Lake South girls soccer team roared back Friday and won its own Class 2A regional title, beating Crystal Lake Central 2-1.
Emma Chudik and Taylor Bittenbender scored for the Gators (12-6), both goals coming in the first five minutes of the second half.
Marissa Fetters had 1 save in goal for CLS, which will take on Sycamore in Tuesday's Rochelle sectional semifinals.
