Boys volleyball: Hersey completes perfect East run

Hersey d. Rolling Meadows: The host Huskies put the finishing touch on a perfect season in the Mid-Suburban East with a 25-17, 25-21 victory against Rolling Meadows.

Hersey, which meets West Division winner Barrington next week in the MSL championship game, improved its overall record to 28-8.

Jake Mailloux (10 kills) and Camran Saeed (5) led the attack for the Huskies. Other big Hersey performers included Mike Seneczko (14-for-15 serving, 3 aces), Jakub Migus (4 blocks, 19 setting assists) and Christian Hong (14 digs).

For Rolling Meadows, Billy Tompkins was 10-for-10 serving with an ace and also had a team-best 5 kills.

Jackson Brossett led the Mustangs in both blocks (2) and assists (10) to go with 7 digs. Erik Vinopal produced 8 digs, and Greg Bouraoui contributed 4 kills along with a block.
