Baseball: WW South, Lisle, Wheaton North win

WW South 10, Waubonsie Valley 0:

Caleb Larson pitched a 5-inning no-hitter with 9 strikeouts in the DuPage Valley Conference victory for the Tigers (9-11, 7-9). Matt Brodhead homered and drove in 4 runs. Matthew Scherrman went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI.

Lisle 4, Seneca 3:

A.J. Casmer struck out nine in a complete-game victory for the Lions (13-8, 7-2), who scored all their runs in the first inning. Casmer also drove in 2 runs.

Wheaton North 14, Glenbard North 10:

The Falcons (15-6, 11-3 DuPage Valley) held on after building a 12-4 fifth-inning lead. Sam Hacker went 4-for-5 with 3 doubles and 3 RBI. Connor Olson doubled, tripled and had 4 RBI. Winning pitcher Jackson Gray drove in 2 runs. Justyn Orozco went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and 6 RBI for Glenbard North (6-13, 1-11).

Metea Valley 10, Lake Park 4:

Jason Kirchner and Cade Sullivan combined for 6 hits, 5 doubles and 5 RBI as the Mustangs (10-9, 7-7) won in the DuPage Valley. Winning pitcher Jack Cagigal struck out 11 in 6 innings. Zach Aehlert went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and an RBI.

Neuqua Valley 14, Naperville North 3:

James Kulak improved to 5-0 on the season as the Wildcats (19-0, 13-0 DuPage Valley) won in 6 innings. Jack Rigoni, Noah Herdman and Noah Ernst each had 3 hits and combined for 8 RBI. Brendan Lacey drove in 3 runs for Naperville North (12-8, 6-7).

Addison Trail 15, Morton 2:

The Blazers (11-10, 7-5) rolled to victory in the West Suburban Gold after scoring 6 runs in the second inning and 6 runs in the fifth. Trevor Fulmer struck out eight.

Glenbard West 7, Leyden 5:

After Leyden tied the game with a 5-run bottom of the fifth inning, the Hilltoppers (9-8) took the lead for good with a run in the sixth and seventh inning. Matt Shellady and Joey Gavac each drove in 2 runs. Logan Ryan earned the win and Brett Potter the save.

Timothy Christian 10, Elmwood Park 0:

Jimmy Allen went 2-for-2 with a home run and 4 RBI for the Trojans (10-10, 5-6) in their Metro Suburban victory. Nick Huisman pitched a 5-inning 3-hitter with 7 strikeouts.
