Warren 13, Zion-Benton 3: Carissa Topolinski was 4-for-5 with a homer, double and 3 RBI for the Blue Devils in their North Suburban Conference win.

Caitlyn Britton also homered for Warren and drove in 2 runs. Becca Geiyer was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Taylor Shaw and Emma Gratz (2 doubles, 2 RBI) were both 2-for-2. Kayla Hopkins contributed a double and an RBI for the Blue Devils.

Mundelein 19, Lake Forest 1: Kira Buckner went 4-for-4 with a triple, double, 5 RBI and 5 runs scored, as the Mustangs cruised in North Suburban Conference action.

Kaitlyn Griffin also had 5 RBI for Mundelein, finishing 3-for-5 with 2 doubles. Winning pitcher Brenna Adams was 3-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI. The Mustangs also got doubles from Allison Lambert (2-for-4) and Peyton Pribyl (RBI).

Grayslake Central sweeps North Chicago: The Rams won a pair of 15-0 decisions in four innings to improve to 7-4 and 4-1 in the Northern Lake County Conference.

Avery Nims tossed a pair of complete games, including a no-hitter that included 9 strikeouts and no walks. The sophomore received offensive support from Ashlynn Coleman (1-for-2, double, 4 RBI), Nicole Warren (2-for-2, double, 4 RBI), Nicole Buerger (1-for-1, 3 RBI), Corinne Heidloff (1-for-1, double, RBI) and Kelsey Whalen (1-for-1, triple, RBI).

Nims also tossed a 2-hitter. The Rams received 2 hits apiece from Whalen (2-for-2, 3 RBI), Libby Bien (2-for-2, triple, double, 2 RBI), Warren (2-for-2, 3 RBI) and Buerger (2-for-2, 2 RBI). Heidloff was 1-for-1 with a double and 3 RBI, and Bridget Marshall went 1-for-2 with 2 RBI.

Marengo 13, Grayslake North 5: Grace Brown hit her second home run of the season, but the Knights were on the losing end of the nonconference game for just the second time this season.

The reigning Class 3A champs got back-to-back homers from Grace Houghton (2-for-4, 2 RBI) and Haley Minogue (1-for-3) in a 6-run second inning.

Brown (2-for-4) hit a solo shot in the sixth. Faith Standerski (2-for-4, double, RBI) and Ashton Moore (2-for-3, RBI) also had multiple hits for the Knights. Freshman Meghan Delahunty, freshman Jessica Pozezinski (stolen base), Alyssa Carr (RBI, stolen base) and Evan Garrett all had singles.
