Cold weather postpones Monday night's Cubs-Cardinals game at Wrigley

Giving fans plenty of advance warning, the Cubs have postponed Monday night's game with St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field due to inclement weather.

It's the second consecutive postponement for the Cubs, and the four postponement of the Cubs season. Wind chills in the 20s are expected along the lake front this evening.

Monday's game will now be played on Saturday, July 21, as the first game of a split doubleheader at Wrigley Field. The make-up game will be played at 12:05 p.m., and the regularly scheduled night game will begin at 6:15 p.m., Cubs officials announced. Separate tickets will be required for each game.

Tickets to Monday's game at Wrigley will be honored at the 12:05 p.m. July 21 game, and no ticket exchange is necessary.

Sunday's Cubs against the Atlanta Braves also was postponed because of weather. That game will be played on Monday, May 14, at 1:20 p.m.

The Cubs also had their home opener at Wrigley Field pushed back a day due to weather.
