Baseball: Lisle, Lake Park, Naperville Central win

Lisle 4, Plano 3:

The Lions (7-5, 2-0) trailed 3-2 heading to the bottom of the eighth inning but claimed the walk-off Interstate Eight Conference win. Connor Nigro scored the tying run on an error and Aaron Cail ended the game by scoring on a wild pitch. Damien Guerrero won in relief of Nigro, who pitched 7 strong innings.

Lake Park 9, Waubonsie Valley 3:

Zach Aehlert homered twice and drove in 5 runs as the Lancers (5-2, 2-1) rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win in the DuPage Valley. Paul Beverly also homered and had 3 RBI. A.J. Dallmann was the winning pitcher in relief. Cole Gregorio went 2-for-2 for Waubonsie Valley (2-6, 1-1).

Naperville Central 7, Glenbard North 3:

A 5-run top of the fourth inning broke open the DuPage Valley Conference win for the Redhawks (5-3, 2-1). Joe Wooten homered while Connor Grafen, Michael Oliver and Danny Hughes had 2 hits apiece. Winning pitcher Zac Lis struck out nine in 4⅔ innings. Marc Muller and Jim Zay each had 2 hits for Glenbard North (4-4, 0-3).

Neuqua Valley 11, Metea Valley 5:

Noah Herdman drove in 4 runs while Ryan Wheeler and Evan Ranneklev added 2 RBI apiece in the Wildcats' DuPage Valley victory. Ricky Castro picked up the win for Neuqua Valley (7-0, 2-0). Danny Zorn went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for Metea Valley (4-3, 1-1).

Wheaton North 6, WW South 1:

The Falcons (5-3, 1-0) claimed the opener of the cross-town DuPage Valley series after scoring 3 runs in the first inning and adding 2 runs in the third. Jay Gail, Sam Hacker and Joe Klein each drove in 2 runs. Winning pitcher Jackson Gray struck out 10 in 6 innings.

Naperville North 3, Benet 2:

The Huskies (6-2) scored the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning when Jared Dunnett singled home Mike Bruebach, who had 2 hits and scored twice. Logan Van Poucke won in relief and Dunnett picked up the save. Aaron Staehely, Collin Berry and Dolan Glasgow had 2 hits apiece for Benet (4-5).

IC Catholic Prep 13, Fenton 3:

C.J. Slowinski went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and Tom Ryan added 3 RBI for the Knights (5-7, 2-1) in their Metro Suburban Conference win. Andrew Falduto was the winning pitcher. David Burch went 2-for-4 for Fenton (1-6, 0-3).

Hinsdale South 3, Willowbrook 2:

Frankie Klemm's 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh rallied the Hornets (5-4, 2-0) to the West Suburban Gold victory. John Colucci struck out eight in a complete-game effort. Willowbrook (5-5, 1-2) starter Jack Nilles allowed no hits in 6 innings.

Hinsdale Central 7, Lyons Twp. 2:

Winning pitcher Kyle Wisch struck out eight in 5⅓ innings for the Red Devils (5-3, 1-2) in the West Suburban Silver victory.
