Alex Riehman threw six solid innings allowing 5 hits with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks Wednesday as Cary-Grove defeated Prairie Ridge 3-1 in Fox Valley Conference baseball action.
Tristan Atkins drove in a pair of runs for the Trojans (7-2-1) while Billy Blank and Ryan Ignoffo each doubled. Ignoffo picked up the save, striking out two in his one inning on the mound.
Dundee-Crown 11, Hampshire 8: Winning pitcher Riley Fischer had 2 hits while Zach Hahn (2 doubles, RBI), Erik Hedmark (2 hits, 2B, RBI) and Henry Smith (2 hits) also contributed to this FVC win for D-C (2-7).
