Carmel 9, Fenwick 6: Marla Walinski went the distance in the circle, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out nine, and Sydney Schuda hit a solo homer for the host Corsairs.
Schuda and Isabella Anichini both went 1-for-4 with 2 RBI. Emily Krysa was 2-for-2 for Carmel (1-1).
Lakes 4, Mundelein 3 (9): Kaitlyn Griffin had a 2-run home run for Mundelein, but Mundelein left 12 runners on base.
