Girls water polo: Olszewski nets 6 goals in Conant's win

Olivia Olszewski scored 6 goals and Amy Rodriguez added 3 to help lead the Conant girls water polo team to an 11-6 triumph over Barrington in the Mid-Suburban West on Wednesday.

Nia Tsoulos and Abigail Hanley each had 1 goals for Conant, which received 12 saves from goalie Lauren Day.

Jackie West led the Fillies with 3 goals.

Fremd 9 Palatine 6: Meagan Helsdingen led the Vikings with 3 goals in the MSL West triumph.

Ellis Nelson had 2 goals for the visiting Pirates while Harper Appel, Natalie Koval, Kiki Herbst and Maggie O'Brien each had one.

Schaumburg 8, Hoffman Estates 1: Schaumburg, which led 7-0 at half, and was led by Ingrid Hay's 4 goals while Olivia Bugajny, Lindsey Bach, Lynda Steen and Veronica Campbell each contributed one.

Saxons goalie Magda Jasinska collected 8 saves in the MSL West match.

Abigail Fuscone scored the goal for the Hawks, who received 8 saves from goalie Benita Varanauskaite.

Elk Grove 10, Buffalo Grove 5: Elk Grove was led in the MSL East victory by Alyssa Bonilla (3 goals, 2 assists, 3 steals) and Gillian Guerra (3 goals, 1 assist).

Abby Farmer had 5 steals for the Grens while goalie Melena Herrera made 20 saves.

Dasha Yermol scored 3 goals for Buffalo Grove, which got also 1 apiece from Katie Wasilewsla and Cecelia Carlson.

Hersey 15, Rolling Meadows 4: Meghan Pfeiffer and Madison Burkhalter both finished with 3 goals to help the host Huskies come out on top in MSL East play.

Maggie Goodwin had 3 of the goals for Rolling Meadows.

Prospect 16, Wheeling 7: Colleen Doyle (8 goals) and Caitlin Broz and Connie Vuong (3 apiece) led the scoring effort for the host Knights in MSL East action.
