Chicago Blackhawks waive Glass

The Chicago Blackhawks placed goalie Jeff Glass on waivers Wednesday. The 32-year-old Glass appeared in 14 games and went 3-6-3 with a .898 save percentage and 3.31 goals against average. He lost his last six starts (0-4-2) and allowed 3 third-period goals in under four minutes at Vegas on Tuesday in a 5-2 loss.

If Glass clears, he will be assigned to Rockford. Unless Corey Crawford is ready to return from an upper-body injury, it appears the Hawks will call up JF Berube from the IceHogs on Thursday. Berube has appeared in 20 NHL games. He is 7-8-0 with a .920 save percentage and 2.37 GAA in 15 games for Rockford.
