Marist snaps Lions' eight-game winning streak

When St. Viator visits Buffalo Grove for a nonconference game on Thursday night, the Lions will be looking to get back on the winning track after losing for the first time in nine games.

Class 4A state-ranked Marist snapped St. Viator's eight-game winning streak on Wednesday night in Chicago with a 63-37 East Suburban Catholic Conference win.

The Lions (15-7, 1-4) had not lost since a home game against Class 4A state-ranked Benet on Dec. 15.

Marist (19-4, 4-1) led 26-18 at intermission before pulling away in the second half.

Senior Myia Clark led St. Viator with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Classmate Olivia Solimene added 6 points with 2 rebounds while junior Sam DeJulio and senior Haley Robinson each chipped in 4 points.
