Kopech, Robert, Hansen among 22 receiving invites to White Sox major-league camp
In just over three weeks, Chicago White Sox pitchers and catchers report to spring training at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz.
Feb. 14 is the check-in date, and position players must arrive for the first full-squad workout on Feb. 19.
On Monday, the Sox announced an additional 22 players received non-roster invites to major-league camp.
Most are top prospects already in the system, led by starting pitchers Michael Kopech, Alec Hansen, Dane Dunning and Dylan Cease, outfielder Luis Robert, infielder Jake Burger and catchers Zack Collins and Seby Zavala.
Six others are free agents signed to minor-league contracts - right-handed pitchers Rob Scahill, Chris Volstad and Michael Ynoa, left-hander T.J. House and infielders Patrick Leonard and Matt Skole.
Kopech is not likely to break camp on the 25-man roster, but the 21-year-old righty likely will join the White Sox's starting rotation later in the season. Last year, Kopech was a combined 9-8 with a 2.88 ERA for Class AA Birmingham and AAA Charlotte. Kopech had 172 strikeouts in 134.1 innings and a 1.169 WHIP.
The 23-year-old Hansen was 11-8 with a 2.80 ERA in 26 starts last season with low Class A Kannapolis, high A Winston-Salem and AA Birmingham. The right-hander's 191 strikeouts (in 141.1 innings) were the most in the minor leagues since 2011.
After agreeing to a $26 million signing bonus last May, the 20-year-old Robert played in 28 Dominican Summer League games, posting .310/.491/.536 with 3 homers, 14 RBI and 12 stolen bases.
On the free agent front, Scahill was 5-7 with a 3.79 ERA in 118 relief appearances with the Rockies, Pirates and Brewers. The 30-year-old righty graduated from Willowbrook High School and played college baseball at Bradley.
House, a 27-year-old lefty, is 5-7 with a 4.44 ERA in 29 career games (22 starts) with the Indians and Blue Jays.

Baseball America released its Top 100 prospects list on Monday, and five White Sox minor leaguers made the cut.
Outfielder Eloy Jimenez, acquired from the Cubs in the Jose Quintana trade, ranks No. 4 behind outfielder Ronald Acuna (Braves), pitcher/hitter Shohei Ohtani (Angels) and third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays).
Starter Michael Kopech is No. 11 on Baseball America's Top 100, followed by starter Alec Hansen (No. 57), outfielder Luis Robert (No. 58) and starter Dane Dunning (No. 82).
