Carter, Wauconda stop Grayslake Central in OT

Donovan Carter finished with a game-high 22 points to help Wauconda's boys basketball team past visiting Grayslake Central in overtime, 65-57, on Tuesday in Northern Lake County Conference play.

Carter made three 3s and finished 5-for-5 at the free throw line for the Bulldogs (7-10, 3-3). Teammate Connor Brannick had 18 points, and Jimmy Ott had 7 points to go with 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Chris Thomas led Grayslake Central in scoring with 14 points, and Alec Novak (12) and Jack Spalding (10) also scored in double figures.

The Rams forced the extra session by outscoring Wauconda 16-12 in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs produced a 13-5 scoring advantage in the OT.
