Kaneland will play for Ottawa title

Jenni Weber scored 21 points and Kaneland's girls basketball team defeated Yorkville 52-38 Friday night to advance to the championship game of the Ottawa Christmas Tournament.

Jamie Martens added 8 points and 8 assists while Hannah Armin had 8 points for the Knights (10-2), who will play Lincoln-Way West at 6 p.m. Saturday for the championship.

Batavia 46, Fremd 37: Erin Golden had 17 points and Hailey Orman 15 as the Bulldogs (9-6) won in the final round of the Naperville North/Benet tournament.

Sycamore 44, Hampshire 40: Ally Cermak had 16 points and Kelby Bannerman added 15 for Hampshire (5-8) in this nonconference loss. Lauren Herrmann scored 8 points for the Whip-Purs.

East Aurora 36, Elgin 32: In an Upstate Eight crossover, Sabrina Chen had 8 points and Dajha Cooper added 7 for Elgin (0-13).
