Tynan's hat trick sparks Wolves 4th-straight win

ROSEMONT -Orland Park native T.J. Tynan produced his second career hat trick to lead the Chicago Wolves to a 6-3 victory over the Iowa Wild on Saturday night at Allstate Arena.

Tynan tied a franchise record with two short-handed goals - both in the first period. Tomas Hyka snapped a 3-3 tie with 2:42 to play as the Wolves (10-12-4-1) won their fourth game in a row and fifth in the last six.

Both of Tynan's shorties gave the Wolves the lead, but Iowa (13-9-5-1) responded quickly both times with power-play goals. Pulkkinen gave the Wolves a 3-2 lead late in the second period, but Iowa rallied again.

After Hyka's go-ahead goal, Tynan earned his hat trick with 1:24 left and Wade Megan added an empty-net goal with 18 seconds to play.

Kasimir Kaskisuo (5-8-1) posted 15 saves to earn the win. Adam Vay (0-1-1) stopped 37 shots.
