Steffens helps Stevenson to fourth straight win

Klaire Steffens came up with a game-high 23 points, all in the first three quarters, as visiting Stevenson rolled past Zion-Benton's girls basketball team 46-21 for its fourth straight win.

Senior guard Julia Osuch had 6 points as Stevenson improved to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the North Suburban Conference.

Nine players scored for the Patriots. Steffens tied her season-high point total.

Grant 53, Round Lake 28: The host Bulldogs won for the fourth straight time, this one against Round Lake in Northern Lake County Conference play.

Grant improved to 7-3 and 4-1, while the Panthers slipped to 3-8 and 1-4.

Mundelein 63, Waukegan 30: Morgan Frank had 19 points (three 3-pointers), 5 rebounds and 5 steals, as the host Mustangs cruised in North Suburban action.

Hannah Buscher added 15 points for Mundelein (3-7, 2-3). Buscher sank three of her five 3-pointers in the opening quarter in helping the Mustangs jump out to a 23-7 lead. Kendall Klatt chipped in 8 points.
