Geneva blows past Schaumburg

Margaret Whitley scored 20 points, including hitting four 3-pointers, to lead the top-ranked Geneva girls basketball team to a 61-34 nonconference win over Schaumburg Wednesday night, the Vikings' 24th straight win dating back to least season.

Lindsay Blackmore added 11 points and 6 rebounds for Geneva (9-0) and Stephanie Hart had 10 points.

ACC 54, Thornton 46: At the Marian Catholic tournament, sophomore Delani Kosner scored 24 points including 13 of 17 from the free-throw line to lead the Chargers (7-4) to the win. Jessica Kling, Tressa Cwinski and Maddie Bunger each contributed 7 points for Aurora Central.
