Jacobs gets past Huntley
Kerri Healy led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points as Jacobs downed Huntley 44-42 Friday night in a Fox Valley Conference girls basketball game.
Courtney Pahl and Liz Schwartz added 10 points each for the Golden Eagles (2-4, 1-1).
Briana Bower had a game-high 15 points for Huntley (1-4, 0-1) and Raquel Radermacher added 9.
Prairie Ridge 58, CL South 47 (OT): Lauren Schoen led Crystal Lake South (1-5, 0-2) with 17 points and Madelynn Bush added 12 in this FVC game.
CL Central 30, Hampshire 29: Also in the FVC, Kelby Bannerman led Hampshire (3-4, 1-1) with 13 points.
West Aurora 57, St. Francis 49: Keva Tomas (21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists), Olivia Vanderwoude (7 points, 11 rebounds) and Skylar Doby (8 points, 7 assists, 3 steals) led the Blackhawks (4-2) to a nonconference win.
Westminster Christian 44, Elgin Academy 42: Keely Frens had 16 points and 4 steals to lead the Warriors (3-3) to a nonconference win. Also contrbuting for Westminster were Tess Anderson ( 8 points, 7 rebounds), Mica Glanzer (5 points, 9 rebounds) and Grace Schmitt (5 points, 10 rebounds).
