Girls volleyball: Postseason wins for Libertyville, Wauconda

In first-round play of the Class 4A Cary-Grove girls volleyball regional, Libertyville swept Grayslake North 25-14, 25-22 on Monday.

Madi O'Brien led Libertyville with 7 kills.

Peyton O'Brien had 13 assists and Kailey Christianson had 12 assists.

For Grayslake North, Jessica Pozezinski had 5 kills, while Lindsey Deip had 7 assists.

Alyssa Gerzel had 7 digs and Erin McBriarty added 6 digs for the Knights.

Wauconda d. Round Lake: At Cary-Grove, Wauconda swept Round Lake, 25-14, 25-16.

Riley Aldrich topped Wauconda with 8 kills while Summer Olsen had 10 digs and 12 assists. Erika Kraml added 4 aces.

Wauconda is now 19-15 on the season.

Zion-Benton d. Vernon Hills: At Carmel, Zion-Benton swept Vernon Hills, 25-20, 25-15. Rachel Wright led Vernon Hills with 7 kills and 4 aces.
