Girls golf: Johnson paces Warren's victory

Senior Annika Johnson earned medalist honors with a 43, and Warren's girls golf team defeated visiting Mundelein 178-268 in North Suburban Conference action at Bittersweet Golf Club on Thursday.

The Blue Devils also received a 44 from sophomore Chloe Morrissey, 45 from freshman Sydney Bornhorst and 46 from senior Ellie Bousson.

Lake Zurich d. Lake Forest: At Village Green Golf Course, Kelsey Kee was the medalist with a 44, as the host Bears beat the Scouts 187-192.

Freshman Bry Hogan added a 46 for Lake Zurich, which also counted Grace Loverde's 48 and Alex Leitl's 49.

Carmel d. Marist: On Wednesday, at Countryside Golf Club, the Corsairs earned their first win of the season.

Sophomore Becca Curley earned medalist honors with a 48, as the Corsairs captured a 197-208 decision in an East Suburban Catholic Conference match. Carmel also counted Sydney Faerber's 49 and matching 50s from Victoria Giambrone and Julia Zimmer.
