Girls volleyball: Mundelein stops Meadows in three

Wauconda's girls volleyball team bounced back from a 9 -point defeat in Set 2 to win Monday's nonconference match at Rolling Meadows 25-23, 16-25, 18-25.

The Mustangs (0-2) were led by on attack by 6-foot junior middle hitter Leticia Avellaneda's 6 kills while teammates Natalie Anderson, Anjelina Alberga and Elise Kowalski each had 4.

Eleanor Errico added 3 kills along with a team-high 6 blocks while setters Ashley Dawson and Mallory King had 12 and 9 assists, respectively.

Meadows senior libero Macie Robinson led the back row with 19 digs.

Mundelein d. Conant: Mundelein won the nonconference match 25-14, 25-19 over the Cougars, who were led by senior Kristina Loznjakovic (5 kills, 12 digs), Ania Baker (5 kills) and Fiona Fennelly (14 assists).
