Boys soccer: Libertyville handles Maine S.
Indiana-bound Ryan Wittenbrink scored a pair of first-half goals to lead Libertyville's boys soccer team to a 3-1 nonconference win over Maine South on Wednesday.
Riley Hoff also scored for the Wildcats.
Grant 2, Crystal Lake Central 2: William Gonzalez and Daniel Talavera scored for Grant in their nonconference draw.

Grayslake North 5, Rockford Lutheran 0: On Tuesday night, the Knights won their season-opening match, which was part of their own tournament.
Sophomore Omar Cordova, senior Ronaldo Rojas, junior Angel Uriostegui and junior Will Meyer all scored in the first half. Senior Aaron Paredes notched a goal early in the second half to complete the scoring. Rojas also had 2 assists. Sophomore Sam Inmon, senior Nick Kloczkowski and sophomore Logan Holevas also earned assists.
"Tonight was a nice start to the season as our boys played hard, worked together and really showed a good understanding of how we are looking to play," Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "With many new players this season, we knew we were looking to some younger players to step up in several areas of our game, and tonight we saw the entire team step up, as they really put in a good team performance."
Grayslake North senior keeper Josh Suciu made 1 save in collecting the shutout.
The Knights resume the tournament at 6:30 p.m. Thursday against Prairie Ridge.
