Red Stars draw Boston to earn point on the road

After a controversial Chicago goal called back, Chicago and Boston settled to a scoreless draw.

With a fairly inactive first half, Chicago was able to get 5 shots off to Boston's one. But in the 25th minute, Sofia Huerta saw the first good look on goal as she dribbled into the final third. Boston captain Julie King pressed the forward at the top of the 18-yard box, but Huerta stayed calm and found an opportunity to take a strike that went just over the crossbar.

Minutes later, Chicago was awarded a free kick. Of the three Red Stars who stood over the ball, captain Christen Press took the shot, curling it around the defensive wall to fall straight to the arms of a diving Sammy Jo Prudhomme.

The score remained 0-0 going into halftime after neither team could capitalize on their chances.
