Chicago Sky signs forward Shayla Cooper

The Chicago Sky, off to a 1-7 start in the WNBA season, has signed former Ohio State forward Shayla Cooper.

Cooper, a 6-foot-2 forward and all-Big Ten performer, had 26 career double-doubles with career averages of 11.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

The Sky is averaging just 75.6 points per game, which ranks 10th in the 12-team WNBA, and is shooting just 40.5 percent on the season.
